Experienced wooden pencil users know that different pencils need different tip shapes.
An ultra-sharp long point is great for ordinary HB or #2 pencils, but softer leads and colored pencils need a shorter, blunter tip to avoid constant breakage.
The Kutsuwa Stad T'Gaal, you don't need a different sharpener for every type of pencil you use.
Turning the T'Gaal's dial changes the angle of the blade to create five discrete sharpness settings, from very blunt (1) to very sharp (5).
When you're not using the sharpener, turning the dial to Closed will seal the opening and prevent pencil shavings from falling out.
